    Description

    Job Title: Experienced Cover Supervisor

    Location: CARDIFF Area, Wales

    Position Type: Full-time, Part-time, temporary and fixed term available

    Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a rewarding opportunity in secondary education? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in supporting secondary schools across the Cardiff area. This is an exciting chance to play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting student progress in a dynamic school environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise classes in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
    • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities to students across a range of subjects and year groups.
    • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive engagement and respect among students.
    • Support students with their learning, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
    • Liaise with teaching staff and senior leadership to ensure smooth operation and communication during teacher absences.
    • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff members.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting.
    • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
    • Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced school environment.
    • Ability to work independently and use initiative to handle unforeseen challenges.
    • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are desirable but not essential.
