    Architect, design, manage and maintain the Group's Linux infrastructure.
    Work with colleagues to maintain agreed levels of service covering performance, high availability and DR. Work closely with key stakeholders, including Information Security, to deliver and maintain a secure, compliant solution

    Work with key stakeholders to develop, and demonstrate, a good understanding of business needs as relates to our Linux estate.

    Maintain knowledge of good and leading practice and emerging trends in Linux
    Lead on, or contribute to, the delivery of specific improvements as agreed with IT Service Management.

    Capture and manage knowledge relating to area of responsibility, ensuring that policies, processes and procedures are documented and kept up to date.

    Linux architecture, design and configuration covering, hardware, devices and software

    Monitoring:
    develop monitoring routines, perform or oversee routine checks, report, escalate and agree remedial activity required. Lead development of, and reporting against, performance dashboard, working closely with other technical leads to ensure an up to date, accurate view of end to end technical performance
    Be an active member of your community. Provide clear and concise escalation to Project Managers and Service Leads. Can proactively identify project risk and present options and recommendations to mitigate those risks.
    You will have a strong experience using on UNIX/Linux system administration
    You must have experience with handling online environments with med-large (up to 1 million) user base and high numbers of active users
    You must have firm understanding of Linux internals and experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of UNIX/Linux based infrastructures
    You should possess good programming skills in scripting languages like Perl/Shell/Python
    Linux, Red Hat Linux, Storage skills desirable
    Operating System support Linux, and Linux builds
    You can work with Application Server Support (Websphere, Java, TOMCAT)
    You have previous exposure to Network Storage and SAN
    Shell scripting, SQL, Unix, MySQL
    You have knowledge of Windows systems administration - the environment is mixed so this would be a bonus
    You have previous experience in training and coaching individuals

    You are self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
