    As the Senior ConfigurationEngineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Configuration Managerof any given Project, including responsibility for the Product definitionand/or Configuration Management of a minor project or major parts of aproject.

    Senior Configuration EngineerLocation:
    StevenageHours: 2-3 days in the office, the rest is remoteClearance: SC required before starting


    UKI's onlyHourly Rate:

    up to £42ph via Umbrella – inside IR35What You'll Be DoingReflection of engineering input, through the engineering changeprocess, into the design definition / structure, utilising the company PLMtool Windchill.

    Managing, on behalf of project, the correct design definitions forpotentially multiple product variants. Successfully implementingengineering changes against the appropriate instances.

    Review of engineering changes for respective project to ensure businessprocess is applied and approbation controls laid out by projects areadhered to.

    Acceptance or Rejection of changes as appropriate.
    Provision of draft Configuration Management document updates to theproject Configuration Manager ahead of the appropriate review period.
    Comprehensive and timely preparation for Configuration Meetings.
    Provision of data to Configuration Manager and project team against agreedtimescales ahead of associated meetings.

    Ensure control of project design definitions are adhered to across thedevelopment, production and in-service phases to provide comprehensivestatus accounting information to customerWorking relationships with key stakeholders established.

    Focal point ofcontact for day to day activities with project and engineering teamsSupport and guidance to project areas with regards to applicableEngineering Change methodologies appropriate to the product or equipmentlifecycle.

    Engineering changes processes agreed, documented and inpractice.
    RequirementsExcellent Team Spirit and ability to work as part of a team andadd value through contribution.
    High level of knowledge regarding principles of Configuration Managementand the application of these within and demanding yet professionalengineering environment.

    High concern for order and qualityExcellent Communication Skills – Verbal, Written, Electronic,across all levelsThe ability to build rapport with stakeholders as well as positivelypromote the Configuration Management group through supportive andpro-active approach with internal customers.

    Pro-active, flexible and enthusiasticAbility to plan and deliver own workload.
    Awareness of relevant internal and external customer requirements andstandards.
