    Finance Director

    Location: London (3 days a week on-site)

    Contract Type: 6-Month Contract

    Day Rate: £600-£750 (Outside IR35)

    About the Company: We are a dynamic, PE-backed challenger bank looking for a highly skilled Finance Director. Our company is at the forefront of innovation in financial services, committed to providing exceptional value and service to our clients. As we continue to grow, we seek a competent Finance Director to play a crucial role in strengthening our finance function.

    Role Overview: The Finance Director will work closely with our CFO, acting as the second-in-command within the finance department. This is a technically focused role where you will be responsible for setting up robust processes and controls across the finance function, ensuring we are well-prepared for audit season.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement effective financial processes and controls.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Prepare the finance department for audits, managing all audit processes.
    • Collaborate with the CFO to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
    • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.
    • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
    • Provide technical financial guidance and support to the finance team.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services sector.
    • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial controls.
    • Demonstrable experience in preparing for and managing audits.
    • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
