    Description

    Finance Director : PE Backed Event Management Business

    Location: London (Hybrid)

    Salary: £100,000-£130,000 + Bonus + Equity

    TS1051

    Finatal is currently partnered with a small cap private equity backed event management business seeking a Finance Director to assist them in executing on their ambitious growth plans and geographical expansion over the next few years.

    The business is currently operating at c.£15m revenue and has plans to grow rapidly both organically and through acquisitions. The current client base boasts established blue-chip corporate clients and widely known brands, with the business now widely becoming recognised as one of the highest quality providers of live, digital and brand launch events across the UK and parts of Europe.

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives and business plans.
    • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to inform executive decision-making.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, providing forecasts and financial models to guide business planning and resource allocation.
    • Capital Management: Manage capital structure, optimize funding, and ensure efficient capital allocation to maximize returns.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Operational Efficiency: Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve financial processes to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for private equity partners, investors, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    • ACA,ACCA,CIMA qualification
    • Extensive experience within the events or adjacent sector, ideally within a PE/VC backed environment
    • Ability and desire to be hands-on in the oversight of day-to-day finance operations as well as providing strategic and commercial insight when partnering closely with the CEO and management team
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
    • Excellent financial modeling and forecasting capabilities.
    • Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and drive operational improvements.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
