About:

ACT is a construction company operating in the super-prime residential property market in Central & West London. We are seeking a highly motivated, well organised and adaptable person, who shares our values and our commitment to quality. The Buyer plays a vital role at ACT, focusing on two key areas: securing future projects and building strong relationships. This person not only provides precise cost estimates but also upholds the highest safety and quality standards during procurement. Upholding our core values, they work passionately with the team and approach challenges with a can-do attitude. They take complete ownership of their tasks and foster transparent, loyal relationships with suppliers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, systemise and execute the purchasing procedures for ACT's live projects.

Managing the supply chain platform including subcontractor data base / records etc.

Maintaining and improving existing Supply chain relationships along with forming new relationships.

Negotiating competitive prices with all suppliers.

Continually reviewing rates with suppliers to ensure they remain competitive.

Will require involvement in the Pre-construction period.

Carry out periodic checks on sites in relation to material quality and supplier performance and take the necessary steps to avoid repetitive problems occurring.

Skills & Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience as an buyer, extensive knowledge of the residential construction industry.

Proficient with Bluebeam.

Proficient with Excel.

Demonstrate Accuracy in quantity surveying.

Be self-motivated and highly organised.

Be able to work strict deadlines.

Be comfortable in relational verbal communications.
