Axon Moore are excited to be partnering with a global business who specialise in the UK Defence sector to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team in a stand alone role.
Their Engineering team and Production Operators have been directly involved in designing, building, and getting hand's on with products that are now roaming the surface of Mars, orbiting the Sun and about to be launched to land on an asteroid.
With strong outlook in our Defence, Commercial and Space markets, plus the worlds push to 'Go Green' with renewable energy, their new product development is a key focus.
What you'll be involved in:
You will support the Financial Controller in the preparation of timely and accurate management information for Corporate and the senior Management team to enable informed commercial and strategic decision making.
Completing the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis and commentaryPreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolved
Controlling Intercompany transactions/reconciliations
Monitoring projects for compliance
Assisting with inventory valuation, analysis, reporting, control and annual stock counts
Monitoring performance against budgets/plan and reporting to the management team
Analysis of Sales and orders
Margin analysis
Providing business support and developing financial models to provide financial insight and improve commercial awareness
Ensuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results
Various ad hoc tasks
CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths or equivalent experience
Excellent business partnering and communication skills demonstrating capability to influence and collaborate at a senior level
A continuous improvement mind set and strong systems capability, particularly with Excel (complex formulas, data analysis sets).
