- Detailed RF circuit design which involves component selection, evaluation, simulation, schematic capture, and providing guidance for PCB design teams
- Performing electromagnetic simulation and analysis
- Specifying bespoke procured hardware
- Conducting design verification through a mix of simulation, analysis, and test techniques, including assisting EMC test houses and customer installations
- Creating design documentation and technical reports
- Collaborating with other disciplines such as systems engineering, mechanical/thermal engineering, Integrated Logistics Support, Safety, Product Data Management, and manufacturing areas
- Following Engineering Lifecycle procedures and participating in progress, peer, and design reviews
- Aiding in the development of higher-level system designs
- Supporting system integration activities
- Essential:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field, or relevant work experience
- Proven experience in generating component-level circuit designs for mass production
- Experience in board-level RF design, Direct Digital Synthesis, and high-power RF techniques
- Proficiency in using RF test equipment
- Experience in design validation, integration, and issue resolution

This role focuses on the Radio Frequency (RF) aspects of hardware design and requires applying extensive design knowledge to develop RF solutions for both new and existing products. The Role Holder will be responsible for detailed designs from inception to completion, handling various engineering challenges, and managing all aspects of board-level and/or unit-level designs and their interactions with higher levels.
