    5-STAR LIFESTYLE HOTEL OPENING LOCATED AT SILVERSTONE

    We are looking for an outstanding Senior Sous Chef to take control of this outstanding new project at Escapade Silverstone, the newest Lifestyle Hotel in the region.

    The Escapade Senior Sous Chef plays a vital role in supporting the culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

    Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef assists in kitchen operations, food preparation, staff supervision, and maintaining exceptional culinary quality while upholding safety and sanitation standards.


    Kitchen Operations:
    Collaborate with the Head Chef in planning daily menu items and executing food preparation. Oversee kitchen operations alongside the Senior Sous Chef and Head Chef, ensuring a smooth workflow. Assist in managing kitchen staff and assigning tasks.
    * Quality Control: Uphold the culinary standards by meticulously supervising food quality and taste. Monitor portion control, food consistency, and adherence to recipes. Ensure the maintenance of kitchen cleanliness and organization.
    * Food Preparation: Direct and participate in food preparation, including cooking, baking, and plating. Provide guidance, training, and support to kitchen staff, including line cooks. Assist in scheduling kitchen staff shifts and managing their daily tasks.
    * Ordering and Inventory: Assist in ordering and managing inventory levels for kitchen supplies and ingredients. Monitor food costs and work to control expenses.

    Contribute creative ideas and assist in testing and perfecting new dishes.
    * Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations. Ensure all staff members follow proper safety and hygiene procedures.

    Additional ad-hoc responsibilities will arise which will be considered to form a reasonable part of the role and role requirements may be subject to change from time to time.

    Performance will be checked against the following:

    Detailed objectives will be set through the Personal Development Review (PDR) process
    Escapade Silverstone Management and Staff

    Silverstone Senior Management Team

    Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or any other lifestyle/ distinctive brand is desirable

    Food Safety Level 2 and 3 training is desirable

    A strong, yet positive guest service style

    A good command of the English language. Additional languages are advantageous

    Has an immaculate level of personal grooming and hygiene, exudes style and sophistication

    Competent in using IT systems and software including Microsoft Office
