    * 1:1 Teaching assistant must work within a mainstream primary school full time


    • Must have previous experience working with SEN Students and trained in PECS, Makaton and team teach.

    The role: 1:1 Teaching assistant


    For this role as a 1:1Teaching assistant, you will be working in a mainstream primary school within a year 2 class, you will need to monitor individual pupils' progress and to report on pupils needs, achievements and concerns.

    To assist in pupil supervision and the management of pupil behaviour. To undertake classroom administrative tasks including the maintenance of records. To liaise with parents, carers and outside agencies, where appropriate. prepare learning materials for the lessons that day, support students emotional, physical social mental health. Created a fun and interesting environment which students can learn.

    You must have level 2/3 Teaching assistant course, GCSE'S A*- C grade, former experience working in schools, nurseries or youth centres within the UK and a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.


    The school:
    This school is based in Brent, with around 267 pupils within the school. They have extra activities for students such as drama club, gymnastics, football and to learn French and Spanish.

    In February 2023 this school received a good Ofsted which stated the well being or staff and students who were kept safe, excellent support given to students when need and followed the national curriculum which kept students engaged in lessons.
