    Commercial Accountant - ARD Home based
    We have an exciting new remote opportunity to join our Finance Team as a Commercial Accountant.

    Reporting to one of our Finance Directors (FD), within Ardonagh Advisory Central Services, you will help implement strategy with a particular focus on financial matters, maximising profitability through proactive review and analysis of individual business performance.

    You will support senior leaders with financial decision making, identify potential difficulties and generate solutions using rational judgments that will consider risks and consequences whilst also sustaining strong internal control framework ensuring good corporate governance.

    You will act as a conduit between the various finance teams, business and FD and may also deputise for the FD as and when required to aid career development.

    Support your FD to deliver its strategic goals and targets, using financial analysis to facilitate change and improve impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.

    Complete and analyse financial information for your business unit and ensure that business performance is measured, analysed, explained and understood through the delivery of KPIs.

    Understand results and trends and provide analysis that enables senior leaders to deliver their operational responsibilities, thereby driving performance.

    Drive process improvement in the quality, usability and insightfulness of MI.
    Assist in completing the annual business plan for the unit and carry out quarterly re-forecasts.
    Support the internal and external audit programme.
    Support the financial planning, forecasting and modelling of potential A&I targets and where required perform financial due diligence.

    Deliver integration of acquired businesses in all respects of finance areas within the responsibility of this role so they are aligned to existing controls and processes in line with agreed integration timescales.

    Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE) with extensive experience in financial reporting and analytics.
    Proven track record of supporting businesses to achieve commercial objectives and deliver stretching targets.
    Ability to work in a private equity culture and environment which is lean, and results driven.
    An understanding of the insurance market from a financial perspective would be preferred but not essential.
