    We're looking

    for a Business & Growth Strategy Director for our Tesco Retail Media UK team. This role will lead the cross-functional development of an annual OGSM and a three-year plan for Tesco Retail Media UK. Working across all functions, it will be the central point that translates multi-year growth ambitions into strategic programs and workstreams by function, moderating strategic priorities and trade-offs as they arise. It will also serve as a hub of monitoring the strategic environment in Retail Media and the wider digital ecosystem, as well as a resource for framing and resolving ad-hoc strategy questions. It will be supported by a number of analysts as direct reports.

    What we expect from you

    For this role, we have identified preliminary goals of:

  • Moderate the annual OGSM-style business strategy process for Tesco Retail Media UK, defining strategies and goals across functions, secure approval by the cross-functional Retail Media lead team, and integrate with wider Tesco/Dunnhumby planning processes.
  • Develop a three-year strategic vision with revenue goals by proposition, platform investments, sales strategy by client group and any required gap-closing recommendations.
  • Deliver competitive monitoring reports twice a year, providing 360-degree comparisons of key Retail Media / Digital Ad Commerce platforms across UK, US and selected additional retailers. Build share&learn relationships with non-competing retail organizations around the world.
  • Act as an in-house consultant team for ad-hoc strategic questions and recommend options to the lead team, e.g. in areas of misalignment between functions or potential M&A opportunities.

    • Necessary qualifications:

  • Drove an OGSM-style strategy process at a digital platform, a marketing or strategy consulting firm, media agency, CPG manufacturer, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in framing strategic issues and options for top-management, identifying root causes, developing hypotheses and communicating clearly in a presentation format.

    • Preferred qualifications:

  • In-depth experience in the digital advertising and ad tech competitive environment.
  • Past team leadership.
