    The School

    Twickenham Preparatory School is a leading and successful independent co-educational day school for children aged 4 to 13 situated in Hampton, South West London.

    The founding aim from its inception in 1969 – to establish a school with high academic standards that was pastorally strong, caring and sensitive to the needs of the individual child – is still the heartbeat of the school 50 years on, and today, Twickenham Prep provides an exceptional all-round education to c.270 pupils across Pre-Prep, Prep and boys in Years 7 & 8.

    The Position

    We seek to appoint an inspirational and experienced Head of Science, to lead the department and nurture the scientific curiosity of our pupils Y- Y8.

    Collaborating within a dynamic and supportive team, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to instil a passion for Science in our pupils, igniting their enthusiasm through an engaging curriculum and interactive practical activities.

    In addition to leading the Science Department, the successful candidate will oversee teaching and learning in the Pre-Prep department, working closely with the Science Subject Coordinator.

    We are in search of a highly motivated, innovative and forward-thinking teacher, capable of crafting captivating lessons that not only adhere to the Science curriculum but also contribute to the ongoing development of the department.

    This opportunity is ideally suited for teachers who currently specialise in teaching a single science subject or who deliver a broader science curriculum, especially those who work with pupils from KS2 or KS3.
