    Head of Finance

    London Based & Hybrid Working

    £80, % Bonus & Car Allowance

    This is a brilliant opportunity to join a global, fast-growing, acquisitive and people-centric Property business as their new Head of Finance.

    The ideal candidate would likely be a bright Finance Manager looking to step up or a Head of Finance / Financial Controller seeking an exciting new challenge.

    The successful Head of Finance should be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong background in management accounting.

    This role bridges financial accounting and commercial finance, essentially serving as the accounting function in the middle.

    A hands-on approach and a drive for continuous improvement are valued traits within this company.

    With ample opportunities for progression and the company's rapid expansion plans, this role promises exciting prospects for someone keen on taking on new areas and projects.

    The Role

    This role is based in their London head office, catering to individuals who prefer office presence at least three days a week.

    It involves managing a team comprising three direct reports, each overseeing a team of three, totaling nine individuals.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Producing timely and accurate management accounts monthly for all UK divisions, with initial submission and analysis of variances to the FP&A Director.
    • Owning exceptional cost reporting, in close collaboration with the FP&A Director and Finance Director to align with Group policies and business plans.
    • Ensuring on-time completion of month-end reporting, conducting first-level reviews of divisional results, and enhancing reporting accuracy through partnership with the FP&A team.
    • Overseeing balance sheet reporting, including reconciliations and commentary on monthly movements.
    • Maintaining a robust control framework, proposing updates for review with the Group Accountant and Finance Director to ensure compliance with the approval matrix.
    • Ensuring transactions adhere to relevant accounting standards and supporting the rollout of new accounting and reporting packages.
    • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and leading the integration of M&A into the group reporting workflow.
    • Managing and developing a team of 10 (direct / indirect reports), continuously assessing skills and technical capacity to support company growth plans.
    • Collaborating with the Finance Director and CFO on project work.

    • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
    • Strong management accounting experience
    • Demonstrated career stability with clear progression
    • Some team management experience

    Benefits

    £80,000 - £85,000 + Benefits. 10% Bonus and Car Allowance.
