What we'll look for in youHMP Belmarsh is a Category A men's prison with an operational capacity of over 910 inmates and is located in South East London. The site houses a High Security Unit (HSU) and is regarded as the most secure prison unit in the United Kingdom. HMP Belmarsh became operational in April 1991 and is adjacent to and adjoin to Woolwich Crown Court.

As a psychiatrist you will provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite. You will actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision. You will work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi professional complex case reviews.
What you'll be doing
You will be a registered professional with current registration (GMC) with a specialist registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry. You will also have an understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, and up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD.
