- Work to the HS2 Requirements Management Plan (and any associated processes and procedures) throughout the HS2 Programme Lifecycle within the context of implementing, maintaining and managing the DOORS database;
- Implementation and maintenance of the DOORS database, engaging with the HS2 IT department to ensure that the infrastructure and access to DOORS are robust for the needs of the programme;
- Develop and maintain the information architecture / requirements schema within the database to meet the needs of the programme, following the Requirements Management Plan and the overall framework for capturing, disaggregating and disseminating requirements from a top-down perspective into the technical and delivery organisations;
- Development of a process for DOORS deployment across HS2 and in the supply chain;
- Development of a process for account and information security management with respect to DOORS across HS2 and in the supply chain;
- Provide support / guidance / training to the DOORS user community within HS2 and across the supply chain;
- Engage with external suppliers as necessary to host, maintain and develop the tool.
- Develop and maintain metrics on status of requirements traceability, requirement lifecycle (including departures), and requirement changes
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
- For requirements management/DOORS, able to apply principles and methods that ensure effective information management, modelling and data security, basic understanding of data creation and visualisation
- Able to provide specialist technical support and training on requirement management principles and use of DOORS
- Capable of being the DOORS Administrator, managing access rights, set-up of modules, creation and population of attributes, managing links, import and export of data, managing baselines
- Experience with DOORS DXL scripting and Microsoft tools and scripting, such as batch files, powershell, excel, powerquery, power BI
- Understanding of programming techniques
- Knowledge of requirements management practices, systems engineering and systems integration.
- Understanding of the impact of hierarchies and relationship between requirements to deliver an integrated solution.
- Chartered Engineer/Membership of an appropriate professional institution or working towards with the equivalent experience.
- Meets minimum CPD requirement for professional institution every year.
- Experience in managing requirements activities on any engineering projects/ programmes
- Experience of managing competing project and engineering demands, with cost and schedule implications on any engineering projects/ programmes.
- Experience of managing requirements databases in a multi-disciplinary and complex project environment.

As a Requirements Manager - DOORS at HS2 you will be responsible for ensuring that the DOORS database is implemented, maintained and managed meeting the needs of the programme, developing the process for deployment across the supply chain and security management of the database. The role holder will also provide support and training to the DOORS user community within HS2 and across suppliers and develop and maintain metrics on requirements lifecycle progression.
