- Location: VPS Power offices in Manchester.
- 3 direct reports: Sample Reception Technicians.
- Ensure outstanding customer service regarding sample kit deliveries and collections.
- Lead the sample reception team to enhance efficiency and ensure timely unpacking and registration of every sample within 24 hours.
- Manage stock levels of components for transformer & OCM kits.
- Ensure all customer requests are recorded and handled.
- Provide reports on sample reception KPIs.
- Hands-on involvement in tasks such as arranging deliveries & collections, sample unpacking & registration, customer communication, kit assembly, bottle cleaning, etc.
- Ensure team compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, the VPS Power Quality System, and VPS HSE guidelines.
- Promote teamwork and engagement within the Sample Reception team.
- Prior experience in Logistics and Customer Service positions.
- Preferably, experience in a laboratory setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Team player comfortable in a diverse and international setting.
- High level of integrity is a must.
- Commitment to continuous enhancement.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective work relations.

THE ROLE
The Sample Reception team plays a crucial role in upholding VPS Power's customer service and commercial objectives; ensuring prompt supply of sample kits (for both VPS Power and OCM), and swift sample registration are essential to facilitate the efficient completion of testing and reporting processes for our clients. As the Sample Reception Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the team meets customer demand for sample kits and registers samples as per departmental KPIs.
