Multi-Platform Video Editor, Veritasium - London, United Kingdom - Electrify Video Partners

Description

We are looking for an experienced video editor to create multi-platform content for Veritasium, the legendary educational brand with over 18m subscribers across social platforms. Proven experience in re-versioning YouTube content into assets that drive views and engagement on multiple platforms is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of what drives video performance on different platforms, with a particular flair for converting long form content into clips and cutdowns for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and beyond. We're looking for someone buzzing with ideas, capable of pro-actively identifying cross-platform opportunities as well as responding to briefs.

An affinity with scientific subject matter is not essential, but the ideal candidate will be fired up by Electrify Video Partners' mission to inform and inspire millions on the strength of outstanding content.

Tasks

• Edit video content for multiple platforms, with a particular focus on TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• Proactively identify opportunities for cross-platform publishing, and suggest ideas
• Re-version existing content into cutdowns, clips and supercuts
• Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial partners
• Keep abreast of platform developments, trends, features, and the latest algorithmic nuances

Requirements

• Proven experience of re-versioning YouTube content for other platforms, with a showreel to back it up
• Deep and current knowledge of social platform algorithms, especially TikTok
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with creative teams, responding to feedback in a timely fashion
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality control and editorial standards
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
