    WHAT TO EXPECT

    We are looking Functional Safety Model Based Engineer – Charging to join our Powertrain department and support design, integration and validation of our in-house charging and battery management systems for our current and next generation of electrified vehicles.

    As a Functional Safety Model Based Engineer – Charging you will support the design and delivery of our control algorithms and in-house software in the creation of our BMCM (Battery Management Control Module) and ensure process alignment and adherence to key internal and industry standard coding rules and practices to ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO26262 standards.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and delivery of control algorithm concepts in collaboration with our system team/hardware teams.
    • Develop and execute Simulink based software module design and virtual test ( Modle in Loop and Software in Loop).
    • Develop and execute MiL , SiL , HiL , PiL and vehicle level feature test cases for Charging system and control system designs.
    • Ensure process alignment and adherence to key internal and industry standard coding rules and practices to ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO26262.
    • Charging system software issue resolution (including out of process updates and rapid prototype containment of issues).
    • Development of new functionality via switching control algorithms to a mass production standard for HV charging modules including bi-directional capability.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    • Understanding of power electronics switching, charging modules hardware and software algorithms.
    • MATLAB / Simulink Modelling experience with ISO26262 standards.
    • Experience in development of robust control algorithms – turning high level requirements into control code.
    • Experience in validating the control code through use of software validation tools and in the HIL environment.
    • Knowledge of Powertrain and / or Electrical systems.
