    Overview

    Our expanding Environmental Planning team presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled, commercially oriented Senior or Associate Environmental Planner to join us as part of our team's continuous growth strategy.

    We have a burgeoning portfolio of intricate projects in the Infrastructure sector, primarily consisting of DCO projects in energy, water, and transportation, crucial for the UK's Net Zero targets and economic growth, as well as under the Town and Country Planning regime.

    This position offers a dynamic opportunity with diverse responsibilities to contribute to both the development and execution of projects, further building on the team's current success.

    It's an excellent chance to elevate both your personal profile and that of the team by establishing, nurturing, and managing client relationships, while also playing a pivotal supportive role in team management and development.

    While this role can be based in any of our regional office locations, ideal locations include Manchester, Warrington, Bristol, Birmingham, and Cambridge.


    About You:

    You should possess exceptional technical expertise and understanding of environmental impact assessment best practices and their application within the UK Planning system.

    Demonstrated experience across all stages of the EIA process and post-submission/determination is essential.
    Within This Role,

    You Will:

    Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments and associated processes for various developments, including significant Development Consent Order (DCO) and Town and Country Planning Act (TCPA) projects.

    Prepare documents, letters, and reports for all EIA stages (including Scoping and Preliminary Environmental Information), and other related assessment tasks, from initiation to completion.

    Oversee or manage the entire EIA process, including delegating tasks to junior staff for preparing the ES introductory and concluding chapters and Non-Technical Summary.

    Participate in project meetings and take a leading role in EIA team meetings. Review ES technical chapters and ensure project delivery within schedule and budget. Contribute to the mentoring and growth of junior team members locally and within the national team.
