    Job Title: Head of/VP of Engineering

    Location: Chorley, Lancashire, United Kingdom (Hybrid Working)

    Position Overview: They are looking for a proactive and skilled Head of/VP of Engineering to oversee the engineering team and propel the development of innovative renewable energy projects. The chosen candidate will have a crucial role in determining the technical course of the company and driving engineering initiatives that support our sustainability objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and guide a diverse engineering team, fostering a culture of creativity, teamwork, and excellence.
    • Formulate and implement engineering strategies to back the company's goals, ensuring alignment with leading industry practices and regulatory standards.
    • Supervise the design, progress, and execution of renewable energy projects, guaranteeing quality, efficiency, and cost-efficiency.
    • Promote continuous enhancement efforts to refine engineering processes and boost project delivery capabilities.
    • Collaborate closely with various teams such as Operations, R&D, and Project Management to meet project milestones and objectives.
    • Establish and manage strategic alliances with industry counterparts, suppliers, and tech experts to utilize their knowledge and resources.
    • Offer technical guidance and expertise on engineering challenges, risk management, and compliance with regulations.
    • Keep updated on emerging technologies, trends, and breakthroughs in the renewable energy field, recognizing opportunities for innovation and expansion.

    Qualifications:

    • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a relevant field; an advanced degree is desirable.
    • Demonstrate extensive experience in a senior engineering leadership role within industries such as renewable energy, petrochemicals, offshore wind, or oil/gas.
    • Show a proven track record of leading engineering teams successfully and delivering intricate projects on schedule and within budget.
    • Possess deep knowledge of renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, biomass, and energy storage systems.
    • Have a strong comprehension of regulatory frameworks, environmental norms, and safety procedures in the energy domain.
    • Exhibit exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to motivate and energize teams.
    • Be a strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach and a keen interest in sustainability and innovation.

    Location and Benefits: The role is situated in Chorley, Lancashire, with the option of hybrid work setups. The salary range for this position is £70,000 - £100,000, depending on experience.
