    Description

    The Team YoullJoin

    Youll report through our datascience organisation an interdisciplinary group powered by machinelearning and inferencebased discovery of drug programs from firstprinciples. Your team will initially consist of 6 computationalbiologists and engineers but may evolve over time. Closecollaboration between computational biologists across multipletherapeutic areas (primarily oncology) and with data scientists onthe core build teams will provide a strong network of feedback andsupport in setting timelines refining ideas automating repetitiveworkflows piloting productionalizing and more. You will collaborateextensively with data scientists chemists engineers commercialstrategists and biologists throughout the organisation to advancemilestones and provide insights to further advance Recursionscapabilities. Essential attributes to this role include a boldexecutionfirst attitude and passion for deploying rigorous scienceto bring lifechanging therapies topatients.

    The Experience YoullNeed

    • PhD in a relevantfield (computational biology bioinformatics statistics quantitativepharmacology cancer/cell biology etc.) with experience applyingprofessional competencies to fundamental problems in oncology ordrug discovery
    • Experience applyingcomputational methods (including probabilistic statistical and/ormachine learning techniques) to analyse complex biological and/orhuman clinical data.
    • Bold executionfirstattitude and passion for deploying rigorous science to bringlifechanging therapies to patients
    • Fluency andexperience working with highlevel programming languages for complexdata analysis (Python strongly preferred)
    • Experience working on highly collaborativecrossfunctional teams
    • General understanding ofsmall molecule drug discovery and pharmacology
    • Experience in efficiently advancing drug program projectsfrom proof of concept to preclinical Industry oncology drugdiscovery experience preferred
    • Ability toclearly explain computational analyses and methodologies tocrossfunctional and nontechnical teams
    • Exceptional data visualisation skills through creation ofplots documentation andpresentations.
