    The Team YoullJoin

    We are building aninterdisciplinary group centered on machine learning andinferencebased discovery of drug programs from first principles.Close collaboration between computational biologists acrossmultiple therapeutic areas (primarily oncology) and with datascientists on the core build teams provides a strong network offeedback and support in setting timelines refining ideas automatingrepetitive workflows piloting productionalizing and more. Our groupis a bold agile diverse collective of biological computational drugdiscovery and machine learning scientists deeply focused on thesingular goal of bringing new therapeutics to patients at anaccelerated pace. You will collaborate extensively with datascientists chemists engineers commercial strategists and biologiststhroughout the organization to advance milestones and provideinsights to further advance Recursions capabilities. Essentialattributes to this role include a bold executionfirst attitude andpassion for deploying rigorous science to bring lifechangingtherapies to patients.

    TheExperience Youll Need

    • PhD in a relevant field (computational biologybioinformatics statistics quantitative pharmacology cancer/cellbiology etc.) with 3 years of experience applying professionalcompetencies to fundamental problems in oncology or drugdiscovery
    • Experience applying computationalmethods (including probabilistic statistical and/or machinelearning techniques) to analyze complex biological and/or humanclinical data
    • Fluency and experience workingwith highlevel programming language such as Python or R for complexdata analysis
    • General understanding of smallmolecule drug discovery and pharmacology
    • Efficiency in advancing drugdiscovery projects carryingand prioritizing among multiple projects and efficiently advancingprojects to proof of concept
    • Experience inefficiently advancing drug program projects from proof of conceptto preclinical. Industry oncology drug discovery experiencepreferred
    • Bold passionate and highlycollaborative with experience working in crossfunctionalteams
    • Ability to clearly explain computationalanalyses and methodologies to crossfunctional and nontechnicalteams.
    • Exceptional data visualization skillsthrough creation of plots documentation andpresentations.
