Description

Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Birmingham City Centre in their recruitment of an interim Management Accountant on 6 month interim contract. The role will be paid on a day rate with a perm equivalent salary of £40k-£45k based on experience:

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Maintain and complete balance sheet reconciliations on a periodic basis, inclusive of analysis and investigation of balances where required.
Assist in Forecasts/Budget and Medium-Term Plans for functional areas of the business, within specified deadline.

• Supply P&L commentary for all internal reporting.

• Provide information in appropriate format and on a timely basis for other reporting requirements, such as forecast submissions, Business Reviews and Budget Packs

• Period-end reporting and delivery of results along with reasons for deviations from Budget/Forecast, to deliver within a strict deadline/timeframe.

• Internal Reporting of financial results on a periodic basis includes production of formal management information reports, particularly a reviewed version of the periodic results and supplementary information

• Business Partnering activities including participating in periodic business partner meetings and being the finance business partner to specific functional areas of the business.

• Provide information and assisting with both internal audit requirements as well as adherence to governance processes and policies.

• Being a financial support function for departments in the business

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

• Part Qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACA or ACCA or with a proven track of being qualified by experience

• Experienced with data manipulation, data analysis and report creation skills.

• Systems and data integration experience.

• Attention to detail

• Proactive/forward thinking and adaptable

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
