    Description

    Engineering Team Leader

    As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and equipment. If you are passionate about maintenance, possess strong organisational abilities, and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure optimal productivity and performance.
    2. Schedule and assign maintenance tasks, effectively managing resources to maintain efficient operations at all times.
    3. Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
    4. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
    5. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise breakdowns and maximise equipment life.
    6. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
    7. Collaborate with other departments to prioritise and address maintenance needs to meet production goals.
    8. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inventory, and equipment history.
    9. Provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

    Requirements:

    Diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical certification or diploma is preferred.
    Proven experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing or similar production environment.
    Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
    Extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and repair methods.
    Familiarity with a variety of production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, and refrigeration systems.
    Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
    Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Office.
