    Default job background
    Permanent
    Description

    Job Summary

We're in search of a dynamic and passionate leader to join us on our journey towards influencing the future direction of important and critical care services and elective care.

Our goal is to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes and provide a top-notch experience for all our service users in Suffolk and North East Essex.

As the Operations Director (Urgent and Emergency Care, Ambulance Commissioning, and Elective Care) you'll motivate our team and drive innovation and top-quality care, collaborating with colleagues in our Integrated Care System. Your role is crucial in providing leadership, guidance, and developing new care models as we strive for excellence.

The Director will collaborate across organizations, working together to enhance population health, tackle health inequalities, and minimize variations in access and outcomes.

All band 9 positions in SNEE ICB involve participation in the gold on-call roster with Board members. Those on the roster must be available for urgent matters on a rotating basis, one week every 12 weeks (this may vary) over a 24-hour period. This requires being reachable by phone or email to address critical issues outside standard working hours. There is no financial compensation for this duty.

An informal chat is highly recommended. Please reach out to Jackie Morris.

    • Lead and manage the ICB's emergency prevention, preparedness, and response function
    • Lead and manage the £420m contract with the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) on behalf of the six ICBs in the East of England

The Director will closely collaborate with our three place-based Alliances, various provider organizations, statutory partners, and the VCSE to deliver work programs and leverage their expertise in service redesign.
