    The Role

    At Wealth Wizards, Quality Engineering (QE) has been established as an enablement team with a simple and clear mission: To deliver a scalable quality strategy that enables us to automate financial advice and guidance safely and at pace.

    We have prioritised test automation from day 1 and have impressive stats to demonstrate this:

    Solid foundations are already in place and we are looking for strong leadership to build upon these foundations and keep the quality bar high.

    What you'll be doing...
    As Head of Quality Engineering, you will form part of the Engineering Leadership Team.

    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Management of the Quality Engineering function
    Leading and mentoring a team of Quality Engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
    Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QE team, encouraging experimentation and knowledge sharing
    Maintain and enhance a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with regulatory requirements and company objectives
    Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated testing and tools to ensure key metrics are on track
    Ownership of the initiatives and objectives driving the QE roadmap
    Providing the knowledge and experience required to achieve world-class quality within our SaaS platform
    Creating detailed documentation to showcase our testing and quality assurance capabilities to tenants
    Relationship management with test tool providers
    Advocate for shift left testing, prioritising preventing issues over detecting them
    Monitor quality metrics, analyse trends, and provide insights and visibility to the rest of the business
    Assigning actions and focus areas to Quality Engineering team based on changes in quality metrics
    Stay informed about industry best practices, propose relevant emerging technologies, and understand regulatory changes impacting quality assurance in the financial services sector
    Supporting the Engineering Leadership team on delivering key objectives contributing towards company goals
    Your Skills
    Candidates should have as a minimum;
    At least 2 years experience leading a team
    Extensive experience working in a Software Quality Engineering role (or similar, e.g. SDET, QA, Test Automation Engineer, Test Manager, Head of QA, Head of Testing etc.)
    Considerable experience of automated testing within a commercial environment
    Expert knowledge of the software delivery process using CI/CD
    Exceptional communication skills
    Proven ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects
    Expert knowledge of Quality Engineering theory and methods
    Experience of creating automated end-to-end tests for complex applications
    Automated REST/GraphQL API testing experience
    Experience of working in a regulated environment
    Demonstrable experience using the technologies (or similar to):
    NodeJS
    REST APIs
    CucumberJS
    Cypress

    Docker
    Git
    Our ideal candidate would also have the following;
    Experience working on a white-labelled SaaS solution
    ISTQB advanced certification
    Experience of quality assurance management in financial services
    AWS Certifications
    Computer Science or related degree
