    Video Assistant Manager

    Permanent Contract

    Starting salary: £44, per annum

    Based in: Covent Garden, London

    Full time hours per week

    We are seeking to appoint a Video Assistant Manager to join the Sound, Video & Broadcast department.

    The role involves working as part of a team to ensure the operational and production requirements of rehearsals and performances are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency, and quality.

    The Sound, Video & Broadcast department looks after our Opera and Ballet productions and facilitates live and recorded broadcasts of our performances and events. The team sits within the wider Technical, Production & Costume Department.

    Ideal candidates will have:

  • An excellent track record in live video, projection and associated technologies and experience of managing other staff in this area
  • Experience in planning and managing video projection requirements in a theatre environment
  • The ability to work with Video Designers and creative teams
  • Excellent technical skills with a thorough understanding of current video & projection equipment and systems including Disguise and other media servers (Millumin, QLab, Catalyst)
  • A good understanding of video & audio standards and the parameters of IP networks, including set up and fault finding
  • A good knowledge of Health and Safety relevant to working in a theatre.
