- As an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant, you'll be working within a small team of 3, working for a highly experienced Financial Controller and supporting the department.
- Responsible for creating Sales Invoices for clients (around 10 per week) and sending to clients, answering queries where required.
- Posting Purchase Ledger invoices (circa 50 to 100 per week), checking against Purchase Order / PO Numbers to ensure that they are accurate.
- Setting up PO Number and new suppliers on the system
- Liaising internally with departments with regards to Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger queries
- Bank & Account Reconciliation to ensure the system is accurate.
- Management of Employee Expenses and the Credit Card Expenses.
- Assisting with the VAT Return.
THE PERSON: - Must have experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role (or similar).
- Experience of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Bank Reconciliation is essential.
- Ideally have used Xero accounting software, but open to considering candidates who have used other modern accounting software.
- Proficient with MS Office, including MS Excel.
- Must be working towards AAT Level or be already working towards achieving the qualification.
- You'll need to be highly organised with a keen eye for deadlines and have the confidence to communicate with other departments.
