Healthcare services have a significant impact on the environment. The Practise Development Nurse for the Emergency Department is an exciting role.The Practise Development Nurse will work as part of a team promoting and educating towards excellence of care in the two Emergency Departments.
The role requires a nurse with experience, compassion, a desire to improve care at all levels and flexibility.The role is cross site, covering areas at City and Sandwell hospitals, and we are working towards the move to the Midlands Metropolitan Hospital.
To formulate, maintain and evaluate training and development programmes for all Nursing Staff the Emergency DepartmentsTo ensure that all training and development programmes promote and maintain organisational and professional standards, in order to enhance the quality of care delivered.
To contribute to the development and maintenance of an effectiveeducation strategy within Emergency Departments
To monitor, co-ordinate and evaluate the induction of all staff through the Emergency Departments
Assist in the development of accredited training programmes for staff in the Emergency Departments
To identify appropriate areas of role expansion, and effect the implementation of these, in accordance with Trust Guidelines.

Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opens in 2024 and will provide care to our local population from first class, purpose-built premises.
