    Purpose andobjective of the job:

    Overallresponsibility for the shows performance leading the team acrossall disciplines. To ensure tactics are produced to manage the eventprogram and budgets as well as resources and staff as directed bythe GED/MD. To ensure the success of highprofile events whilstmaximising profits. To liaise with other departments such asoperations marketing and the show team to ensure the smooth runningof the event as well as planning and postevent responsibilities.Manage the show budgets ensuring no overspending and maximumprofitability for the business. Support company senior managementteam with the smooth running of the company as and whenrequired.

    MainDuties:

    Brands

    Through research analysis developing relationships and marketintelligence to implement strategies and initiatives to ensure theongoing growth and sustainability of the event writing a businessplan for the event (updated annually).

    Producesa coherent brand strategy for all four events to maintain andincrease relevance to all markets meeting visitor and exhibitorexpectations.

    Ensure that the marketing strategyis aligned with the events commercialobjectives.

    Provide a strategic event floor planin conjunction with the Operations Manager designed to meet thebudget target and optimise the visitors experience and ensureconstant and consistent visitor stand traffic forexhibitors.

    Identify and implement (wherepossible) extra revenue streams and brand extensionopportunities.

    Monitor and report competitoractivity taking actions where necessary.

    To getclose to your market understand its trends and develop your eventaroundit.

    GeneralManagement

    Daytoday management ofthe event team.

    Set clear goals and objectivesfor all reporting staff.

    Set monitor andevaluate performance targets (with the aid of CRMapplications).

    Create monitor and evaluateindividual bonus plans for the show team.

    Complete annual and midterm staff appraisals asnecessary.

    Recruit and interview new staff wherenecessary.

    Assess develop and coach allreporting staff (including identifying bespoke training needs ofindividuals where necessary).

    Motivate theteam.

    Coach and develop the team in all aspectsof their roles creating a transition map to expanded roles andpromotion where appropriate.

    Interdepartmentalmanage relationships with supporting departments ensuring they arealigned with the events business objectives and commercialgoals.

    Sales

    Visit and canvas at competitor and industryevents.

    Run and manage the rebook process andrebook team.

    Roleplay the sales team regularlyand share areas for enhanced sales performance and bestpractice.

    Manage the prospect database to ensureit is constantly updated and is fit for a purpose falling in linewith the companys CRM policy.

    Ensure aconsistently highquality delivery in all prospect exhibitor andpartner communication ensuring the message is onpoint.
