    Description

    A neighbourhood fixture in the heart of Islington, Bellanger is a lively café, restaurant and bar, serving brunch, lunch and supper dishes inspired by the coastal regions of the Mediterranean, as well as a selection of brasserie classics.

    The role of Wine Bar Manager:

    • Helping to manage the day to day operation of the restaurant bar
    • Ensuring that all company standards are adhered to
    • Menu development in collaboration with the Head of Wine and Head of Bars
    • Taking every step to enhance guest experiences
    • Training, development and supervision of bar team members
    • Effectively handling guest queries, complaints and feedback
    • An integral part of the wider management team
    • Supporting recruitment, induction and appraisals of new employees

    What we're looking for in a Wine Bar Manager:

    • Expertise in European wines, a keen interest in Orange and Natural wines, and proficiency in classic cocktails
    • A true understanding of quality service and a close eye for detail
    • Actively engage with guests and develop a database of wine enthusiasts.
    • Supervise all wine-related activities and events.
    • The ability to motivate and encourage a team and work in collaboration with all departments is critical.
    • The desire to strive for excellence and inspire others
    • To embody the highest standards of hospitality and service delivery
    • A good level of financial awareness, cost control and payroll
    • A good level of knowledge in Health & Food Safety
    • Applicants will need to be able to commit to being available for all days and all shifts on the rota
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
    • Experience of working in a senior bar management role within a similar quality restaurant environment

    Expected earnings from £18.62 per hour
