Advanced Practitioner: Children and Young People - London, United Kingdom - East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

    Default job background
    Description
Do you want to work for one of the UK's largest Trusts, situated in the heart of the Garden of England, just a stone's throw from London and with easy, fast access to France and beyond?

As a team we are working hard to ensure we put children and their families at the heart of everything we do.

The CAU's are housed within the acute children's wards, supported by a Band 5 nurse.

They are busy areas for children who have been referred either from Primary Care or children requiring a short period of assessment and treatment referred directly from the Emergency Department(ED).

Support is given to the Emergency pathway to enhance the experience for children, young people and their families.

We are looking for professionals who have completed their ANP (child) training to Masters level and have previous experience of working in an Acute Paediatric area, with evidence of ongoing professional development.

We will provide you with a Trust and Local induction program, leadership and management development, coaching and mentoring opportunities. You will be supported by a dedicated Paediatric practice development nurse.

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with fivehospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.

Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'.

If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used then the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process.

This does not prevent applicants seeking appropriate support with applications should they need to for the purposes of any declared disability.

    Registered ANP (child)
Evidence of completion of MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (child)

Evidence of completion of PgDip Advanced Clinical Practice (child)

A minimum of two years acute/critical care experience in child health at band 7 or above
Experience of working in an ED department or paediatric assessment unit.

Evidence of ability to produce reports and formulate policies
