    Department

    The Data Management team plays a vital role in our organisation, transforming raw data into comprehensive and meaningful insights that can drive informed decision-making. Moreover the data management team is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust and efficient data model that ensures data is consistent and accurate across the organisation. The Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE) provides subject matter expertise in implementing automation solutions across the business. The team is tasked with working with business stakeholders in the front, middle and back office to identify business process improvement opportunities, and coming up with appropriate solutions.

    The team will be multi-skilled and will have an array of off the shelf tools for implementing both end-user and bespoke solutions (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, RPA, MS Power platform, SSIS, etc).

    Position purpose

    The BI Developer will serve both as a developer and BI SME within the COE, providing technical expertise to the team and to the business.

    Key Experiences & Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role
  • Experience of working in BI or Reporting Roles (financial services preferable)
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Strong understanding of Data modelling concepts and DAX.
  • Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power Query (M) and data querying.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent data visualisation and report design skills with demonstratable experience across a variety of data visualisation tools and techniques, support more junior team members and establish processes, standards and templates for others to follow.
  • Able to effectively interact with stakeholders across different teams, work closely on a technical level, interpret their needs and effectively manage stakeholder's expectations.
  • Be able to share knowledge and experience of various tools and techniques and oversee projects within the COE and Data team

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Requirements Gathering
  • Data modelling:Design and develop data models and data transformations to support reporting and visualization needs.Optimise data models for performance and scalability.
  • Dashboard and Report Development
  • Data Integration:Integrate data from various sources into Power BI.
  • Data Governance:Establish data governance practices to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Performance Optimisation:Monitor and optimise the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Documentation and Training:Create documentation for data models, reports, and dashboards.Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI reports effectively.

    8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
