    Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation through Winning England Teams.

    We are looking for a Technical Talent Scout to play a key role in the FA's Talent ID process by using video and analytical technology to unearth and identify talent capable of playing for a YDP England team.

    What You'll Do?

    • Proactively scout using video and communication to identify talent playing in Academy football domestically and internationally.
    • Communicate effectively with appropriate Club Academy personnel to gain relevant information around age group players.
    • Ensure players highlighted via data are assessed via video
    • Communicate effectively with appropriate Club Academy personnel to acquire video coverage of matches and players at U13 - U16 age groups.
    • Assist in the process of planning fixtures for Talent Reporters, Casual Scouts, Age Group Coaches and other key staff within the YDP.
    • Create video content on potential and current England players across YDP age groups to be shared with the Age Group Coaches, Talent ID Department and other key stakeholders.
    • Create video content of individual players in the same positions to enable Age Group Coaches to compare and contrast abilities.
    • Communicate and provide detailed documents such as player dossiers that can be presented to and shared with players, coaches, clubs and other key stakeholders.
    • Attend live games across the YDP both domestically and internationally to complete detailed reports on all players of interest when required.
    • Actively highlight players of interest to the Talent ID Lead and back this up with video/presentations in Talent ID meetings.
    • Add, manage and collate information relating to players, club visits, agent discussions, match reports etc.
    • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
    • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
    • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

    What You'll Need?

    Essential for the role:

    Knowledge

    • Strong understanding of football and a high level of technical expertise across several areas
    • Dedicated, flexible approach to working hours and travel

    Experience

    • Experience of working in football within a Scouting and/or Analysis department

    Technical Skills

    • Extensive experience of analysis tools and software such as Sportscode, Wyscout and annotation software such as Piero
    • Advanced Microsoft Office
    • Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders

    Beneficial to have:

    Knowledge

    • Undergraduate degree including any Talent ID and/or Coaching qualifications

    Technical Skills

    • Experience of working with Data tools and providers

    We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.

    Your contract with The FA will specify a fixed location of either Wembley Stadium, St. George's Park or our Processing Centre unless the role is advertised as a home-based contract. The contractual location of this role can be found at the top of this advert on our FA vacancy page.
