    Description

    We are seeking a capable and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our client's busy Elective Orthopaedic Ward team at their major health facility.

    The Hospital's Orthopaedic service treats a wide variety of elective and trauma Orthopaedic conditions and comprises an established trauma inpatient ward and a new 9-bedded inpatient unit specifically for elective cases - predominantly hips and knees.

    Both units are supported by a seven-bed ITU/ Surgical HDU and a three-bed Medical HDU / CCU, with advanced technology.

    The Guernsey Band 5 salary range from 1 st Jan is 36,900 to 47,590 plus an annual bonus of 1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH (2022 salary negotiations are currently underway)

    Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

    This unique integrated health service delivers a diverse range of services including diagnosing and treating patients in the island's acute hospital complex, and supporting people with in the wider community.

    Providing excellent care, supported by modern equipment and reliant on Healthcare professionals recruited to a high standard.
    Registered Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
    Minimum of one year's post-registration experience in a Surgical Ward hospital setting with some experience in trauma and/or elective Orthopaedic
    Nurses with a desire to develop further into Orthopaedics in a supported environment are also welcome to apply.
    A higher-than-UK salary.

    • A generous bonus scheme; 1,605 annually and an additional 3,000 at completion of 2 & 4 years (ongoing annual bonus thereafter)
