    JOB TITLE: Head of Engineering - Consumer Servicing & Engagement Platform

    SALARY: £121,023 - £142,380

    LOCATION(S): Bristol

    HOURS: Full-time

    WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Bristol Office.

    Collaboration is key in this role. As the Head of Engineering, you will work closely with the Head of Product and other engineering leads to drive strategic objectives, optimize operating models, shape roadmaps, ensure data-driven decisions, and enhance team delivery through engineering solutions and agile methodologies.

    What you'll be a part of

    As Head of Engineering, you will lead the technical direction, develop tech strategies in collaboration with architects, manage technical debt, and oversee the engineering teams' design, deployment, and operation of systems.

    What we are looking for in a candidate

    We seek a leader with strong technical expertise and a background in engineering. As a leader, you will drive teams strategically, foster a culture of psychological safety, promote Agile practices, encourage learning, and support end-to-end system design.

    • Strategic leadership of large teams
    • Cultivation of a culture of learning and continuous improvement
    • Support in designing operating models and scaling teams
    • Advocacy for best engineering practices and tools
    • Successful delivery of large-scale changes

    Also, as an Engineer, you will be well-versed in Web, Microservices, and Cloud ecosystems, promote system design thinking, emphasize BDD & TDD, prioritize automation, and have a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
