    Solar PV Project Developer

    Location: London

    We are searching for a skilled Project Developer to join our team, focusing on advancing renewable energy initiatives. Your primary role will involve driving the development and execution of on-site solar photovoltaic (PV) projects across the UK and Europe. We're seeking an individual with a keen understanding of the solar PV market and a talent for shepherding projects from inception to fruition.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and evaluate on-site solar PV project opportunities within the UK and one additional international market (select from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands).
    • Conduct thorough feasibility studies, site assessments, and due diligence to assess project viability and potential risks.
    • Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis for individual projects and across project portfolios.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, encompassing timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
    • Negotiate roof leases, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and other contractual arrangements with property owners and occupants.
    • Oversee project finances, including budgeting, cost estimation, and financial modeling to gain investor approval.
    • Liaise with internal design/engineering and procurement teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
    • Facilitate the handover of projects to the delivery organization for construction.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to inform project strategies and decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in on-site solar PV project development, with a solid understanding of the UK solar PV market and expertise in at least one additional country from the specified list.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering on-site solar PV projects from inception to completion.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, permitting processes, and incentive programs related to solar PV development.
    • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and mitigate risks.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling.
    • Capacity to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team.
    • Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations with available information.
