Position Overview
Avantor Services provides laboratory solutions to leading businesses in the life science industry.
We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join their lab and production operations team at AstraZeneca, on a Part-time Permanent basis
you will be helping to test theories, improve products, and bring your scientific advancements to the world as quickly as possible

Working hours
:
Monday-Friday 9:30-1:30 (20 hours)
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintaining lab equipment
- Decontamination of incubators, water baths, Biological Safety Cabinets, Centrifuges, Fridges, and Freezers.
- Autoclaving and glass washing
- Washing and replenishing plastic egg trays when needed
- Weekly decontaminating and upkeep of large egg trolleys
- Waste management
- Cleaning of the floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, lockers, and benches
- Replenishment of consumables for the wash stations
- Replenishment of consumables for PPE stations (sterile gloves)
- Laundry management, restocking of clean lab coats, and disposing of dirty lab coats.
Experience Required
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Good time management skills, ability to be flexible and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
- Good problemsolving capabilities and confidence to react promptly to deliver the best service
- Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
