Position Overview
Avantor Services provides laboratory solutions to leading businesses in the life science industry.

We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join their lab and production operations team at AstraZeneca, on a Part-time Permanent basis

you will be helping to test theories, improve products, and bring your scientific advancements to the world as quickly as possible

Location
:
AstraZeneca, Renaissance Way, Speke, Liverpool L24 9JW

Working hours
:
Monday-Friday 9:30-1:30 (20 hours)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintaining lab equipment

Decontamination of incubators, water baths, Biological Safety Cabinets, Centrifuges, Fridges, and Freezers.
Autoclaving and glass washing
Washing and replenishing plastic egg trays when needed
Weekly decontaminating and upkeep of large egg trolleys

Housekeeping

Waste management
Cleaning of the floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, lockers, and benches
Replenishment of consumables for the wash stations
Replenishment of consumables for PPE stations (sterile gloves)
Laundry management, restocking of clean lab coats, and disposing of dirty lab coats.

Experience Required

Experience working in a laboratory environment
Good time management skills, ability to be flexible and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
Good problemsolving capabilities and confidence to react promptly to deliver the best service
Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
