Analytical Manager - Birmingham, United Kingdom - Good Growth Limited
Description
Location: Exeter, UK or Birmingham, UK
Home working vs. office: we are flexible with regard to home working vs. office; we want you to work where you do your best work. As a guide, across our business we will typically do 1 or 2 days a week in the office. In the early stages of your career with us, we may ask you to be in the office more, but we will always seek to be accommodating (e.g. childcare; appointments; etc.).
Who are Good Growth?
Good Growth's primary mission is to enable large businesses to innovate online without letting their legacy technology slow them down. Many of the websites you see – some of which might belong to your favourite retailers – are often over a decade old, relying on older systems and tech to continue running.
Tearing down barriers to growth, innovating at breakneck speed, using legacy technology as an asset - it's what we do every day for the global organisations who choose to partner with us. Our extraordinary technology, backed up by world-class data and insight, delivers experiences that transform performance for brands who want more from their digital channels.
We are based in Birmingham, Exeter, and London - broadly speaking these are the homes of our Tech, Data, and Client Teams respectively.
At Good Growth you'll be part of a dynamic company that values creativity and innovation in every task. Here, you can propel your career forward alongside experts in data science, technology, and marketing, all committed to building solutions that redefine the future of digital commerce.

The Role
As a member of the Analytics team, you will work across a portfolio of client accounts to deliver our data, insight and experimentation activities and to ensure we deliver a positive commercial impact. You will leverage multiple data platforms and customer insight sources to establish a rich understanding of customer engagement and behaviour in the online channel, identify causes of customer failure and opportunities for improving customer experience. You will deliver our testing and innovation activity through both the Good Growth Technology platform and AB testing solutions e.g. Optimizely, and will own the analysis of this activity and validation of commercials impacts generated.
Working alongside our Accounts and Technology teams you will be accountable for the effective application of our analytical, customer insight and technology processes; blending quantitative and qualitative customer data and insights with innovative customer experiences delivered through our technology platform to delight our clients and deliver a return on investment of at least £10 per £1 spent.
This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, a deep understanding of mathematics and the scientific method. Previous experience working within digital analytics platforms (GA4, Universal Analytics, Contentsquare etc.) would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Accountabilities
Commercial impact: You will be accountable for the impact of our activity, you will combine performance analytics, customer insight and experimentation to deliver a commercial impact across a portfolio of client accounts.
Data analytics: You will ensure the quality of our analytical activities, ensuring that our analyses are accurate and clearly communicated to client teams and stakeholders. You will deliver analytical activities across a range client engagements and data platforms (GA, Adobe etc.), extracting and processing data from these platforms and will leverage a range of analytical and visualisation solutions to meet the requirements of our client engagements.
Customer insight: Combining a range of quantitative and qualitative customer insight sources, you will identify and quantify the causes of customer frustration and failure in the online channel to inform programmes of experimentation that deliver commercial impacts for our clients, validated through our data and reporting.
Experimentation: You will be familiar with the scientific method and will apply this to online AB testing and conversion rate optimisation activities to be accountable for our experimentation activities across a range of client accounts, ensuring sufficient velocity of testing, quality of thinking and scale of impact.
Team player: You will work closely with our Accounts and Technology teams to provide analytical oversight, direction, and will support project management. You will also mentor junior members of the business, supporting their development and progression.
New Business Development: You will provide data and customer insight expertise in support of our new business pipeline and will collaborate with the new business team to develop winning proposals to grow our client base.
