SHE Advisor Locations:

Portsmouth or New Malden We are working with an International defence client on the recruitment of a SHE Advisor ensuring the business complies with the Company SHE Policy and all relevant SHE regulatory requirements.

This will include working in cross discipline teams to deliver specified packages of work/ improvement projects.

The role will support Line Leaders in their deployment of the Safety, Health and Environmental policy, management systems and objectives for their areas of responsibility.

The role may involve travel to other sites.

What you'll be doing:

Provide competent and comprehensive SHE advice to Line Leaders, enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their areas of responsibilityConduct appropriate levels of SHE assurance activities in support the effective deployment of the SHE management system ensuring it continues to meet the requirements of ISO45001 and ISO14001Supporting and coaching Line Leaders in the effective management and control of significant SHE risks within their areas of responsibilityConduct comprehensive investigations of accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and lessons learned to prevent reoccurrencePromote continuous improvement through effective communication, coaching and mentoring of line leaders, employees and contractors.

Supporting onsite contractors in their applications of SHE Policy & StrategyYour skills and experiences:

Essential:
Hold a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent and be willing to work towards a NEBOSH Diploma/Degree in H&SExperience of working in complex environments where strong collaboration, influencing and motivation skills are the key methods for implementing SHE improvements ComprehensiveKnowledge of SHE Management Systems and assurance processesWorking knowledge of SHE Management Systems and assurance processesDesirable:Grad/Tech Member of IOSH (willing to progress to Chartered membership)
