    Due to the planned retirement of our long standing Practice Manager, an exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time motivated GP Practice Manager to join our well-established, successful team located in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire.

    The successful candidate will be responsible and have overall accountability for all business aspects of the practice and will oversee the management of the day-to-day operations to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care by leading the practice team with vision and drive. They will be able to demonstrate robust leadership and communication skills, be efficiently organised and will be expected to understand the requirements and expected outcomes throughout the Practice. They will also be expected to supervise and support staff performing these functions.

    ABOUT US

    As a 3 Partner (2.6wte) plus 2 Full time Practice Employed ANPs, we pride ourselves on being a close, supportive team who are enthusiastic about our jobs and the care of our 6900 patients who are predominantly from a deprived demographic area around Sauchie and Alloa.

    Our community District Nursing, Health Visitors, midwifery team and treatment room are all based in our building which allows for better communication. We have a good allocation of PCIP staff including:

  • 2 Primary Care Mental Health Nurses, 2.5 days per week, who see most of our patients with Mental Health issues
  • Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, 2 days per week, to help with patients with musculoskeletal problems. She also run a monthly joint injection clinic
  • PCIP ANP, 2 days per week who works alongside our own 2 ANPs
  • 2 Care Home ANPs, 5 days per week, who cover our 48 bedded Nursing Home
  • 2 Primary Care Pharmacists, 3 days per week, who deal with prescription requests, queries and hospital medication discharges, they also have a pharmacy technician, one day per week, who deals with NPT recalls and provides housekeeping for all repeat medications including identifying and running medicine searches as and when required
  • CTAC staff, 2 days per week, who cover phlebotomy clinics as well as recording basic values for our CDM patients
  • We also have a Community Link Worker, 2 days per week, who can help patients address the socio-economic and personal circumstances that affect their health and wellbeing, offering non-clinical support.

    Our 8 person admin team, include 3 receptionists who are also Healthcare Assistant trained and run daily phlebotomy clinics. Our Secretary processes all referrals and our Practice Administrator does all our coding. All our admin team are trained in care navigation.

    We work with EMIS system (moving to VISION in 2025).

    Previous experience in a health care management role would be advantageous, though not essential. You will need to be approachable, flexible, capable, able to learn and willing to accept that the job will change and adapt to meet the evolving requirements of healthcare and our continuously developing contractual obligations.

    BENEFITS

    Salary : £53,267 to £59537 (pro rata) dependent on experience

    30 days annual leave plus 10 public holidays

    36 hours per week
