    Description
    Job Purpose
    We are looking for a Service Manager to join our mid-management team. The role involves managing a designated service, overseeing staff and resources to provide the best care for children and young individuals. We need a proactive practitioner focused on delivering high-quality service through effective leadership and employee engagement.
    Main Duties
    • Managing the house rota;
    • Authorising annual leave, training requests, and managing absence;
    • Ensuring new staff have a proper induction and growth opportunities;
    • Managing house budgets;
    • Proofreading professional reports;
    • Acting as a role model for trauma-informed practice;
    • Driving a positive culture in alignment with organizational values;
    • Understanding all care plans within the service;
    • Ensuring a safe, welcoming environment;
    • Developing and maintaining partnerships with other services;
    • Liaising with parents, families, and involved agencies;
    • Coordinating with outside agencies;
    • Maintaining systems for high-quality outcomes;
    • Deputising for Operations Manager as needed;
    • Contributing to service development;
    • Participating in staff development;
    • Ensuring staff awareness of health and safety regulations;
    • Undertaking delegated duties by management.
    Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
    • Possession of or working towards relevant qualifications;
    • Three years' experience in children or young people care;
    • Building trusting relationships;
    • Strong emotional resilience;
    • Representing the organization professionally;
    • Motivating and leading others;
    • Strong IT literacy;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Driving license required;
    • Current membership of specified organizations;
    • Commitment to professional development.
