    Role Details:

    • Derby Based

    • 6-month Contract
    • Negotiable rates Inside IR35

    About the Role:

    The Energy Division at Advanced Resource Manager is currently looking for a Site Manager in a leading Civil Engineering Business, that offers services within the nuclear sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Safely and sustainably deliver the construction works.
    • Manage site resources to deliver the construction activity.
    • Monitor works to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
    • Produce required records promptly.
    • Effectively manage and care for the people delivering the work
    • Support/Assist the Project Manager/Project Director in delivering the project.
    • Determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
    • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in implementing safe systems of work, managing risks and change processes, and a good understanding of standard forms of contracts
    • Commercial Awareness: Proficient in commercial/project management communications, able to identify elements for cost recovery from others, and incorporate operational and commercial constraints into decision making.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, negotiate and influence, and discuss ideas and plans competently.
    • Leadership Skills: Motivate and empower the team using training, mentoring, and performance management, and produce plans to achieve goals/aspirations.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to initiate good scope/information/configuration management principles, help ensure reports provide relevant information to enable informed decisions, and implement technical information and drawings into delivery.
    • Health & Safety: Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm, keep up to date with changes in legislation, and promote observation and safety initiatives.
    • Personal Qualities: Flexible attitude, ability to work in high-pressure situations, solutions-based approach to problem-solving, and awareness and promotion of the benefits of diversity and inclusion.

    Desirable Qualities:

    • Experience working on a variety of project types
    • Proficiency in O365
    • Holds a current driving licence.
