    What are we looking for?

    Qualifications

  • Approximately 10 years of previous experience in a Rating Agency or Investment bank.
  • Academic background in Economy or Finance is desirable.
  • English is necessary / Spanish or any other language is highly valuable.
  • Strong knowledge of Banks and Insurance fundamentals.
  • Capital structuring of different financial entities and their capital and financing needs MREL&TLAC.
  • Rating agency methodologies knowledge relating to the treatment of hybrid and subordinated bonds and fundamentals.
  • Extensive Knowledge of banking regulation (CRR, CRDIV, BRRD) and Solvency II Regulation is desirable.
  • Knowledge related to fixed income instruments with a special focus on financial institutions.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver analytic findings to clients, and internally to partner teams.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Analytical and synthesis skills, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and Bloomberg.

    Description

  • Analysis of banks and fundamentals with a thorough focus on the balance sheet and capital structure.
  • Analysis of clients' funding needs, applicable regulations and fundamentals.
  • Advice/Structuring/Origination of Capital & subordinated bonds for regulated financial institutions globally assessing on the optimal execution strategy in terms of size, format and timing.
  • Advisory on ratings' optimization for banks and insurance companies regarding S&P, Moody's and Fitch.
  • Advisory on all aspects related to hybrids and subordinated debt (structuring, draft documentation, rating agencies, accounting and tax treatment...).
  • Front office tasks, participating in meetings with Financial Clients in coordination with Coverage, DCM, and other product teams as appropriate.
  • Day-to-day monitoring of applicable regulations and assessment of their implications.
  • Draft documentation / structuring of debt instruments with a view to ensure regulatory compliance.

    • This position will require the candidate to have a valid Mifid certification . In case the candidate is not certified, they will have to obtain the pertaining certification upon the incorporation to the role.
