    JOB OVERVIEW

    As the Finance Director at Working Ventures, you'll play a pivotal role in our organisation's leadership and strategic management. As a trusted member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll shape our company's future direction and ensure its financial health and growth.

    Your primary responsibility will be overseeing all financial aspects of our organisation, which includes developing and executing a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with our objectives and goals. You'll lead the financial planning process, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, providing valuable insights and recommendations to help us meet our financial targets.

    Furthermore, you'll provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports to guide decision-making for the executive team and the Board of Directors. Managing financial risks, ensuring financial stability, and compliance with regulations will also be under your purview.

    You'll optimise our capital structure, allocate resources efficiently to support growth initiatives, and manage cash flow, investments, and relationships for maximum returns and minimised financial risks. Evaluating potential strategic acquisitions and partnerships, conducting due diligence, and offering financial expertise will inform our strategic decisions.

    In addition, you'll lead fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with investors and stakeholders to secure the financial resources needed for our growth.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Your key responsibilities will revolve around financial leadership and strategic management:

    1. Financial Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company's objectives and goals.
    2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, providing insights to meet financial targets.
    3. Financial Reporting: Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports to guide decision-making for the executive team and the Board of Directors.
    4. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to ensure the company's financial stability and compliance with regulations.
    5. Capital Structure Optimisation: Strategically manage the mix of debt and equity to fund each of our company's activities efficiently, balancing cost-effectiveness and risk.
    6. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, investments, and banking relationships to maximise returns and minimise financial risks.
    7. Mergers and Acquisitions: Evaluate potential strategic acquisitions and partnerships, conduct due diligence, and offer financial expertise to inform decisions
    8. Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts by cultivating relationships with investors and stakeholders to secure necessary financial resources for growth.
    9. Board Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and strategic recommendations for presentation to the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and alignment with financial objectives.
    10. Operational Efficiency: Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    Industry Experience: Knowledge of the real estate, workspace or hospitality sectors and a track record of success within relevant industries.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    A qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA accountant with proven senior financial leadership experience in medium-sized or high-growth organisations. Possessing strong financial acumen and a track record of strategic financial leadership. Knowledgeable in financial regulations, compliance, and reporting.
