    Your role:

    • Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) overseeing testing resources on a focused team responsible for transitioning two public-facing content-managed websites on-premise and enhancing engineering standards
    • Ensure effective testing strategies are implemented, focusing on shift-left testing principles
    • Drive continuous improvement in automation frameworks and coverage while mentoring other SDETs on leading technologies and test practices
    • Create tests for automated pipelines testing PHP and JS/React systems, scanning code, checking APIs, system integrations, and front-end functionality
    • Guide and actively participate in the team's testing efforts to ensure quality coverage, code, and delivery

    Your job:

    • Manage performance reviews and recruitment for a small SDET team
    • Lead the team's testing and automation strategies
    • Define and coordinate test planning for releases
    • Design and develop automation frameworks, tests, and tools
    • Conduct Cross-browser testing
    • Participate in team planning, story grooming, test execution, issue resolution, and release support
    • Suggest and implement enhancements to automation and test processes
    • Create and maintain shared testing libraries
    • Offer training, mentorship, and assistance to team members
    • Conduct code reviews, enhance automation code quality
    • Document automation framework, tools, and infrastructure

    About you:

    Key requirements:

    • Minimum 8 years of test development experience
    • Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience
    • Strong grasp of JavaScript, PHP, and/or JQuery
    • Familiarity with testing practices in an agile setting
    • Experience with Playwright

    Assets:

    • Contract testing experience, preferably with PACT
    • Familiarity with testing Library packages
    • Understanding of Micro front-end architectures
    • Knowledge of PHP content management systems
    • Understanding of network principles and protocols like HTTP, TLS, and TCP
    • Familiarity with web services technologies such as REST, JSON, or Thrift
    • Experience with continuous integration systems like Jenkins
