    HSE Management System Specialist

    The Opportunity:

    Are you our next HSE Management System Specialist. We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for are our Health, Safety & Environment team.

    As part of our 'Grow with Gatwick' initiative you'll be provided with plenty of training and support to ensure you're developing and growing your career.

    What's the role?

    Health, Safety & Environment, (HSE) Management System Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing SMSs to GAL's BU's ensuring HSE compliance and continual improvement in performance. The HSE Management System Specialist will have responsibility for HSE performance and competent technical advice across Gatwick Airport.

    What you'll be doing?

    • Support the implementation and compliance of the HSE vision and strategic approach.
    • Develop and implement HSE management systems (i.e. ISO and ISO for each BU measurable against HSE vision.
    • Ensure Gatwick Airport's compliance with all applicable Health, Safety & Environment legislation, measurable against metrics.
    • Deliver elements of HSE leadership e.g., HSE Working Group, culture change with engagement and passion by developing, advising and support initiatives to drive HSE performance, measurable against HSE metrics.
    • Benchmark and implement best practices, where appropriate, to continually improve HSE performance, measurable against HSE vision.

    Do you have what we're looking for?

    • Safety and Environmental strategic Management Systems knowledge
    • UK HSE Legislation and enforcement frameworks
    • UK HSE Guidance and Advice
    • Internal audit / inspection and Monitor and Review programmes
    • Accident Investigation skills and experience
    • HSE in a multi-function, critical infrastructure customer orientated organisation
    • Delivery of HSE objectives, aims and improvement programmes
    • Strong IT and presentation skills. Able to analyse, interpret and present HSE information
    • HSE Training and competency requirements
    • HSE business compliance understanding
