    As an Learning and Skills Assessor, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and informative training sessions to individuals in our local communities.

    RequirementsOutline of Key responsibilities of the Learning and Skills Assessor...Design and deliver training workshops and courses within the community on a range of topics.

    Create training plans and schemes of work that meet the requirements of accredited bodies, adhere to best practices, and achieve quality targetsUtilize different teaching methods to engage learners and enhance their skills and knowledgeAdapt teaching materials and techniques to meet the needs of diverse learner groupsProvide personalized support and guidance to learners, assisting them in setting goals and achieving personal growthCollaborate with community organizations and partners to develop training programs that cater to the needs of the local communityLead the delivery and accreditation of learner-focused provisionMaintain accurate records of learner progress and outcomes.

    Also, demonstrate the progression and learning of participants, and monitor their program engagement accuratelyStay updated on current trends and developments in adult education and community work.

    Stay abreast of subject and course developments, best practices in subject delivery, and external requirements of funding and accreditation bodiesCollaborate with the team of Employment Advisors to meet the learning needs of participantsEstablish connections between learning and opportunities in the local labour marketMonitor and improve course content to ensure effective approaches that help clients develop confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve successful transitions and progressionWe are looking for someone who has...Experience in delivering training in a community setting to participants aged 16+ years up to retirement which enhances employability and promotes personal developmentStrong knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and methodsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of learnersGood organizational and time management skillsFlexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to respond to the needs and interests of learnersA relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experienceA passion for community development and promoting lifelong learningExperience of working to recognised national standards Relevant qualifications e.g.

    Assessor/ Assessor award (A1, TAQA D32/33), or Level 3 Award in Education and Training or Equivalent (e.g.

    Salary:
    £26,862 per annumYou will be working in our Hybrid working, 1 day a week working from home. 4 days a week working from our Colne and Blackburn hubs delivering. Annual salary increment increases27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidaysA flexible working environment, with a range of family friendly policiesYou will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
