Our Technology Audit team at RSM works as an integrated part of an audit team to provide an opinion on company's financial statements. RSM's audit purpose is to build confidence in the financial statements of the businesses we audit, so shareholders, owners and other stakeholders of the businesses can use that information in decision making, such as investments. RSM fulfil an important role in society of building trust, and confidence, in business. Within that, our Technology Audit team's purpose is to demystify the ever more complex technologies that clients use in the operation of their business. In essence to ensure we do a high-quality audit having understood the technology in use and how to audit it properly. As part of the team, you'll be using your ability to understand the technology a client uses and how it supports their business. You'll be assessing what can go wrong, and how it might impact the business. Then by assessing what is relevant for the financial statement audit, you will test the client's controls as a crucial part of RSM's audit procedures and report findings within our team and to the client. About the role
At RSM, you'll be a key member of our team from day one. This is an exciting, hands-on role, as you will be joining a small (currently a team of 10), but fast-growing team. You will be a key member from day one, and the role will offer you plenty of opportunities to develop and progress in your career, whilst enjoying a broad range of clients and industries to engage with. The depth of services and clients you'll be exposed to will help you kick-start your career. You could be working with a wide variety of organisations, including large, listed companies, national retail chains, and high-profile charities, as well as some of our international clients that operate throughout the UK and beyond. RSM's graduate in Technology Audit will give you access to top quality career development. Alongside hands-on experience, you'll benefit from on-the-job training from more senior members of the team and gain access to our internal training courses that will help you develop in the role. With our support, you'll become a true trusted adviser to your clients in the future. When you join this team, you'll work towards the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification.

Technology Audit is a technically demanding discipline, so we look for students who are quick to grasp new subjects. It's important you also have an interest in technology, good communication skills and great attention to detail. You'll often need to explain technology risks and their impact on financial operations to non-technology specialists, so you'll need excellent written and verbal communication skills.
